Practice makes perfect in order to achieve
Although after practicing in the end you leave
Is it worth it, giving up everything you've got,
Rarely it is, but most times it's not

Pain and tears are part of the training,
But so is physical and mental draining,
What do you do after you succeed?
Move onto the next trick, until you are pleased

Broken legs and broken hearts,
Practice is where the problem starts,
Limp on back to the gym for more,
All to get an unfair score,

Finally up to your last nerve,
You leave to be treated as you deserved,
But where can you go after the game?
Nowhere, and you are the only one to blame.

Spring Break

Spring Break 2011 My senior spring break this year was an experience i will never forget. This year i had the priviledge of going to Beijing China with the concert band. We left early in the morning on monday to meet at the airport, excited as i was i ran out of the door. So, we all meet at the airport and we said our goodbyes to our parents and headed off for the long plane ride. The plane ride to Japan was a long and grusome 11 hours and then the next flight to Beijing was 3 hours. Finally, we made it safely to our hotel around dark and we went to bed so we could wake up for the exciting plans that we had the next day. So, the next day we woke up at 6 30, we quickly changed and then went downstairs to have a wonderful hotel breakfast. Then we completed all the stuff the Simons had planned for us that day like the Forbidden City and other amazing sight seeings. As the days flew by we had so many things to do for example play for the Conservator, which is one of the top school bands in China!!! Which was really nerveracking. So, skipping to the last day we climbed the Great Wall of China, which was my favorite experience. Then the next day we packed up and sadly left China to go home.

Character Sketches

Sketch I: My friend is really nervous about school because she just transfered there and she doesn't know anyone there. So, she doesn't know if she'll make any friends because she's a pretty shy person, and also she won't know what her classes are like. Sketch II: My pet, Joey, he's a little yorkie and today im taking him to the park in my neighborhood which he's really excited about. He absolutely loves the doggy parks by our house there are so many friendly dogs and he loves seeing the people too. Sketch III: I am so happy about my new room that my parents helped me decorate. Ive been waiting to remodel my room forever. I have had the same room since i was little and i was excited to get something new and different. Are room thats more mature for my age.

Mini Bio

I've loved music ever since I was little. First, i started singing in my church choir and just absolutely loved it, I always knew that music was my calling. I would sing all the time weather it was in the shower or at my church. Then, I took piano lessons with my Aunt, who's an opera singer, and very talented. I stayed with that till 5th grade, when I decided to play the flute in the band. So, I started to play the flute in the Edina school band, and at first i really enjoyed it! Through the end of middle school it kindof became boring, I really wanted to drop out, but my wouldn't let me do that! But, im really glad I struck through it all these years, because it really payed off. High School Band is way more fun and enjoyable then the middle school band. I'm in concert band and we just finished the Pops concert, SuperPops and that was really amazing! Now were getting ready to go to Beijing,China. So, im really excited for that.

This song reminds me alot of the summer 2010 with my friends, we always listened to it and it fit perfectly. Like it says in the song, we did really feel bulletproof, we believed we could do anything and not get in trouble. That entire summer we were crazy, running around being teenagers and we actually called one of our albums 17 and crazy, as you can see we changed the age. Also, we really didnt give a damn what people around us think or say we just go by what we think and what we want to do, which is have the time of our lives. Because, were young and crazy, were almost 19 and crazy!

The video connects to creativity by seeing how many times the people in the white shirts pass the ball and letting you see other things that are happening around. So, you dont just have the power to focus on what the want you to see but to go further than that and visualize the other stuff happening like the gorrilla.

College Talk With Parents

Yesterday, I had a the most important talk with my parents about college for next year and how they have always prepared me for it. Throughout my entire life my parent have been getting me ready for college, they started to take my brother and I on visits when i was in third grade. My dad was the one who really helped me decide and get ready for college, he said "It's really important to start looking at colleges and a very young age." So, I looked and thought of school's to apply to when i was a sophmore and all throughout my school years I tired to get good grades that will help me get into colleges. Then, we disscussed the school that i have a applied to and which ones he believes are best for me, and he said "It's not my choice, it's yours, wherever you feel you'll truly succeed." So, I applied to 6 schools, and ive been accepted to 3 out of the 3 so far.. The 3 schools i was accepted to were Cottey, Luther, and Bradley. But, I told my dad my top choice was Biola in California, which I haven't heard for yet. He told me that I will probably get in, and if I do we will take a trip down to Cali and visit. Then, he asked me if i have thought of any possibly majors or minors, but i told him that im going to college undecided and he told me thats fine.

Sara: Hello Riley.
Riley: Have you thought of anything to write about for creative writing class?
Sara: No, i can't think of any topics to talk about!
Riley: Well, maybe I can help?
Sara: Absolutely!
Riley: Kk cool. How about that one time when you went to band camp for the first time.
Sara: Ohhh yeah, possibly. Any more ideas you can think of? the more the better..
Riley: Sure, what about the time you went to France and Italy.
Sara: Omggg that was super fun, so many terrific times.
Riley: You could also talk about college, and how you were excepted to 3 schools
