Against Health Care
Opponents to government sponsored health care insurance worry about increased costs of health care and a decrease in the quality of health care if the government is involved. Not to mention there could be fewer rules or “government mandates” and less government control of our medical care according to Scott W. Atlas fellow at the Hoover Institution.
The executive director of the association of the American Physicians and Surgeons Dr. Jane Orient see’s the government sponsored health insurance of having a big fat price tag. She continues say “ Endlessly escalating demands on your money are guaranteed.”
Rising costs are not the only problem government sponsored health insurance would bring. Karen Ignagni president and CEO of America’s Health Insurance plans, says “total government takeover of health care would result in “long waits for care, underpaid doctors and delayed adoptions of new technologies.”
To conclude, moving ahead in the way we operate now makes sense practically dollar and cents wise.
